💾What Pathway stores
Your academic plan, grades, schedules, saved what-if plans, course colors, and AI conversations are stored by the app on your devices.
☁️iCloud sync
When iCloud is available, Pathway syncs user-entered academic data such as courses, programs, university and school choices, schedules, grades, and saved what-if plans. Each kind of data updates independently so unrelated edits on different devices do not overwrite one another. Navigation, onboarding, preferences, and AI conversations stay local to each device.
Apple services
Apple processes Pathway+ purchases; Pathway receives entitlement status but not your payment details. If you choose Add to Apple Calendar, Pathway requests calendar access and writes the selected class events directly to your calendar. Apple’s own policies govern those services.
✨AI, exports, and reports
Pathway’s built-in AI runs on-device using Apple Intelligence models. Nothing is sent to another AI service unless you export it and choose to share it yourself. A requirement report you choose to submit sends its category, your optional note, and the affected requirement’s catalog context to Pathway so the catalog can be corrected; it does not include your name, email, plan, courses, grades, or device identifier. Other data-issue reports open an email draft and send only when you choose to send them; a small plan summary is included only if you opt in.
✋Tracking and sharing
Pathway does not include third-party advertising, cross-app tracking, or third-party analytics SDKs, and it does not sell personal information.
🗑️Retention and deletion
Your data remains until you remove it with the controls under More → Data Management. Clearing app data does not cancel an App Store subscription; subscriptions are managed through Apple.
